Peter Basso Associates, Michigan’s largest MEP consulting-only organization, is pleased to welcome Brandon Reynolds, Cecily Sparks, Zechariah Vinson, Brett Galbraith, Kenneth Fitzgerald, Diana Brazier and Douglas Giroux.
“It’s very rewarding, when we have an opportunity such as this, to bring back talented mechanical and electrical engineering co-ops as full-time team members of our organization. Being able to watch them evolve into graduate engineers sets a great example for our incoming summer co-ops. We’re excited to have them on board,” states Dan Englehart, PE, LEED AP, PBA president and COO.
Brandon Reynolds, a graduate of Oakland University, began his co-op service in May 2014, participating in projects by completing circuiting, lighting calculations, and short circuit studies. Reynold’s notable projects include the University of Michigan Athletics South Competition and Performance project, Northern Michigan University’s New Housing project, and the new Jimmy John’s Field, a Minor League Ballpark in Utica, MI.
Cecily Sparks, a graduate of University of Detroit Mercy, began her co-op service in 2013, participating in projects by completing heat load calculations, sheet metal and piping layouts, as well as fan and pump calculations. Notable projects include Hope College Kruizenga Art Museum, Kalamazoo College Fitness and Wellness Center, and Michigan State University’s Breslin Student Events Center Facility Upgrade and Addition.
Zechariah Vinson, a graduate of Lawrence Technological University, began his/her co-op service in May 2013, participating in projects by completing HVAC, sheet metal, and plumbing layouts. Vinson’s notable projects include Troy High School, Athens High School, and Macomb Community College
Brett, a graduate of Oakland University, began his/her co-op service in January 2014, participating in projects by completing circuiting, lighting layouts (fluorescent and LED for indoor and outdoor), lighting calculations, fire alarm, emergency backup power, technology, kitchen power/lighting and auditorium power/lighting. Galbraith’s notable projects include school engineering design work for Troy Public Schools, Farmington Public Schools, Walled Lake Community Schools and Grosse Pointe Public Schools.
Kenny Fitzgerald, a graduate of Lawrence Tech University, began his co-op service in January 2014, participating in projects by completing load calculations, pressure loss calculations, and mechanical layouts. Fitzgerald’s notable projects in the City of Detroit include 615 W. Lafayette (the former Detroit News building), 1505 Woodward Ave., and 1449 Woodward Ave.
Diana Brazier, a graduate of Lawrence Technological University, began her co-op service in January 2014, in the Corporate Governmental group followed by the Higher Education group. Brazier participated in projects by completing circuiting, lighting layouts, mechanical coordination and fire alarm device layout. Brazier’s notable projects include Michigan State University’s Breslin Student Events Center and New Housing Project, University of Notre Dame’s Track & Field Expansion and University of Michigan’s Athletic Sports Performance Center Project.
Doug Giroux, a graduate of U of M-Dearborn, began his co-op service in May 2015, with the Higher Education group. He has contributed to projects by completing ductwork and HVAC piping layouts, and many associated calculations with mechanical systems. Notable projects include the University of Michigan’s Athletic South Competition and Performance project and 1855 Place at Michigan State University.
