Modern museums and art galleries require more flexibility than ever: self-luminous displays, overhead projections, traveling galleries, and other special demands, require balance of proper contrast ratios. They also require flexibility for multiple functions or tasks and lighting with the ability to support/blend within architecture without drawing attention to it. Without proper control, even the best lighting can become under-utilized. Controls are the key component that is frequently forgotten, under-designed or value-engineered.
