UK Magazine Quotes PBA's Banfic on LED Lighting Features

This month's UK-based Lighting magazine features Hope College’s Kruizenga Art Museum's unique exterior lighting design, provided by Peter Basso Associates (PBA).

In addition to MEP design services, PBA was the lead architectural lighting designer for the recently completed 10,000 sf Art Museum, designed by Dutch architect's C Concept Design whose lead designer, Matthew VanderBorgh is a graduate of Hope College's Art School.

Darko Banfic, PBA's lead lighting designer on the project, was quoted in regards to the challenges faced when carefully choosing exterior lighting design elements to highlight the structure's "saw-toothed granite exterior."

The $3 million facility houses the college’s extensive Permanent Collection and provides learning opportunities as a "teaching museum" for students, faculty and visitors.
