5 Fall Term Co-Ops Join MEP Engineering Design Firm, PBA

Co-Ops to Gain Hands-On, Professional MEP Design Engineering Experience

Peter Basso Associates (PBA), Michigan’s largest MEP consulting-only organization, is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Erin Hintz, Nicholas Polega, Vladimir Runde, Sarmad Shaman and Brendan Philpot.

Erin Hintz is an Industrial Systems Engineering (ISE) student at Oakland University  (OU), Rochester, MI. Hintz will be a 1st year fall term co-op with Peter Basso Associate’s Higher Education group. Hintz has experience with CATIA V5, MATLB, Visual Basic and Verilog programs. She anticipates graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from OU in 2020.

Nicholas Polega is in his senior year as an Electrical Engineering student at Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, MI. Polega anticipates graduating next May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Over the past few years, Polega brings with him previous electrical engineering co-op experience, which he garnered from a major Detroit utility company. Polega will be a first term PBA co-op this fall for PBA’s Health Care / Labs group.

Vladimir Runde is in his second year at Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. Runde is currently studying Mechanical Engineering and anticipates graduating in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. As a member of the Army National Guard, Runde has experience in maintaining electrical and hydraulic systems. He will be a co-op this fall for PBA’s Higher Education group.

Sarmad Shaman is an electrical engineering student at Wayne State University and anticipates graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in May, 2019. As a student, Shaman was involved in designing and testing a traffic control system circuit at Wayne State University. Shaman will be a first term co-op this fall with PBA’s Higher Education group.

Brendan Philpot is a an electrical engineering student at University of Michigan Dearborn, Dearborn, MI. Philpot anticipates graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in May, 2020. Philpot is experienced with Matlab, Solidworks, Arduino and programming software. He is also experienced in electrical circuitry. This will be Brendan’s first co-op experience at PBA as a fall term co-op for its Corporate Office and Governmental group.
