Bob Roop, CPD, LEED AP, PBA's K-12 group leader, will be presenting on the subject of facilities, planning, design and construction along with TMP Architecture's John Waldrop and Derek Dinkeloo, AIA October 4 at MSBO's 18th Annual Facilities / Operations Director Conference and Expo at Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville, MI.Those attending the presentation should expect to, 'learn the principles of the planning and designing of educational facilities; options in methods of construction management; selection of design and construction professionals; and the bonding process, including laws, bidding requirements and record keeping.'
Roop has 25 years of experience in mechanical design, and specializes in facility studies, pre-bond planning and systems evaluation. He is a USGB LEED Accredited Professional and is Certified in Plumbing Engineering (CPD). Roop is also an active member of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE); the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA); American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE); Council Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI) and International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHIPA).
