Peter Basso Associates is pleased to announce that Vice President Phil Saoud, PE, CCP and Senior Associate Phil Allen PE, LEED AP, QCxP, CCP have both earned the title of Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) by passing an examination given by the Building Commissioning Association (BCA).
According to the BCA, a Certified Commissioning Professional is an individual who leads, plans, coordinates and manages a commissioning team to implement commissioning processes in new and existing buildings.
Phil Saoud, PE, CCP is a professional engineer and a Vice President and Assistant Director of PBA’s Contract Administration/Commissioning Department. Saoud has been with PBA for over 21 years, with 15 additional years of mechanical engineering experience outside the firm. Saoud has served as commissioning authority for hundreds of projects with clients including Central Michigan University, Panduit, Spectrum Health, Washtenaw Community College and Wayne State University.
Phil Allen PE, LEED AP, QCxP, CCP is a professional engineer and a senior associate at PBA. He has worked with PBA for over 10 years bringing over 18 years of outside mechanical engineering experience to the firm. In addition to earning his CCP, Allen is also a Qualified Commissioning Process Provider (QCxP), and a USGBC LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP). He has served as commissioning authority on hundreds of projects with clients including Consumers Energy, Meijer, the Detroit Medical Center, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
