Peter Basso Associates (PBA), Michigan’s largest MEP engineering organization, is pleased to announce 13 new team members.
New hires include mechanical engineer Alec Cramer to its Health Care / Labs Group, mechanical engineer Arjun Thirumaran to its Higher Education Group, electrical engineer Carmen DiCicco; mechanical designer John T. Hatsios to its Corporate Office and Government Group (COG) and CAD Specialist Jason E. Flint.
New summer co-ops include Madeline Oesch, mechanical design co-op for the Higher Education Group; Stephanie Jewell, mechanical design co-op for the K-12 Group; electrical design co-op, Zachary Bussey to its K-12 Group; electrical design co-op, Emma Kusnier to its Higher Education Group; electrical design co-op, Shai Bishop to its COG Group; Jonathan Worthy mechanical design co-op to its COG Group, Garik Goldwater, electrical design co-op to its Health Care / Labs Group and Kody Rhodes, mechanical design co-op to its Health Care / Labs Group.
Alec Cramer is a mechanical engineer with PBA’s Health Care / Labs Group. Cramer received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN in May. Cramer has been actively involved in the mechanical design for Beaumont Hospital Dearborn’s Level 3 ICU Renovation, Dearborn, MI, Ascension Health’s St. John Macomb East Tower Expansion in Warren, MI and Sparrow Hospital’s Main Laboratory Renovation and New Reference Laboratory in Lansing, MI.
John Hatsios is a recent graduate of Lawrence Tech University in Southfield, MI with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Hatsios began his career with PBA as a co-op in May of 2016 and became a full-time mechanical engineer for its COG group in May. Notable project experience includes mechanical engineering design for Elkhart Health’s new Fitness, Aquatic and Community Center, in Elkhart, IN; Interlochen Center for Arts Music School Addition in Interlochen, MI and Ford Motor Company’s Project D Concept Design in Dearborn, MI. Hatsios is skilled in HVAC systems design, commissioning services and building automation technology design.
Carmen DiCicco is an electrical engineer for PBA’s COG Group. She started her career with PBA as a part-time electrical designer in March and became a full-time electrical engineer in May. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI and recently received her Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. DiCicco has been integral in the electrical design for Elkhart Health’s new Fitness, Aquatic and Community Center in Elkhart, IN and several projects at Macomb Community College in Macomb, MI including Building CE Renovations and Building’s CL & CM Renovations.
Arjun Thirumaran is a mechanical engineer with PBA’s Higher Education Group. Thirumaran recently earned his Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago in Chicago, IL where he also earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Thirumaran is currently involved in the mechanical engineering design of Michigan State University’s Jenison Fieldhouse Renovations and the Wells Hall Induction Units Replacement both in East Lansing, MI.
Madeline Oesch is a mechanical engineering co-op for PBA’s Higher Education Group. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI. Oesch is actively involved in the mechanical engineering design for the Wayne State University Anthony Wayne Drive Student Housing Project in Detroit, MI and two projects at Grand Valley State University’s Allendale, MI campus including the Services Building Addition and Student Admissions Addition / Renovation Project.
Stephanie Jewell started her co-op term with PBA in January of this year as a mechanical engineering design co-op for its K-12 Group. As a mechanical engineering design co-op, she has been actively involved in several projects for the 2015 Rochester Community Schools (Rochester, MI) Bond including Adams High School Renovation, ACE High School Renovation and Hamlin Elementary School Renovation.
Zachary Bussey is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Oakland University in Rochester, MI. He began his electrical engineering co-op term at PBA in January for PBA’s K-12 Group. Bussey has provided electrical engineering design for the Port Huron School District 2016 Bond including Holland Woods Middle School and Northern High School in Port Huron, MI. He is also involved in the electrical engineering design of the Lake Shore High School Renovation in St. Clair Shores, MI for Lake Shore Public Schools 2016 Bond.
Emma Kusnier started her PBA co-op with its Higher Education Group in January. Kusnier is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Oakland University in Rochester, MI. Her recent work has been in providing electrical engineering design for Wayne State University (WSU) projects including Anthony Wayne Drive Student Housing and the WSU Computer Services Center C & IT in Detroit, MI.
Shai Bishop is a returning electrical engineering co-op with its COG Group. Bishop started his career with PBA in January and returned for a second term in July. Bishop is currently attending Lawrence Tech University for Architectural Engineering in anticipation of receiving his Master’s degree in 2018. Notable PBA project contributions include Interlochen Center for the Arts Music School Addition, Interlochen, MI and the Shelby Township 41-A District Court in Shelby Township, MI.
Jonathon Worthy is a 1st term mechanical engineering co-op also with PBA’s COG Group. Worthy is currently studying mechanical engineering at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. Worthy has provided mechanical engineering design for the Elkhart Health, Fitness, Aquatic and Community Center, Elkhart, IN and Bedrock Detroit’s One Woodward Heating System Replacement project in Detroit, MI.
Garik Goldwater is a 1st term co-op in PBA’s Health Care / Labs Group. He is currently studying electrical engineering at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. Current projects include the Wingate Kamper Building Apartment Building Renovation in Detroit, MI and the Beaumont Hospital Dearborn ASC Picture Perfect Renovation in Dearborn, MI.
Kody Rhodes is a 1st term mechanical engineering co-op also with PBA’s Health Care / Labs Group. Rhodes is currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Detroit, Detroit, MI and anticipates receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2020. Rhodes has provided mechanical engineering design for several PBA projects including Adient Expedited Services, Plymouth, MI and Detroit Medical Center Children’s Hospital of Michigan Critical Care Tower, Detroit, MI.
Jason Flint is a CAD Specialist with PBA. Flint received his Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from Lawrence Tech University, Southfield, MI. Flint is experienced in Building Information Modeling and sustainable building and systems design.
