Engineering the right building environment for Marine City Middle School included replacement of the existing electric heating and direct expansion packaged terminal air conditioning units with hot water heating and direct expansion cooling unit ventilators; removal of the existing unit ventilator louvers, replacing with new; addition of two Roof Top Units with DX cooling, providing heating via duct mounted hot water tempering coils; revision of the hot water heating system configuration in the main boiler room and throughout most of the building; removal of all pneumatic controls - replacing with DDC controls and lastly, providing new electrical branch circuits to the new mechanical equipment.
