Peter Basso Associates provided MEP design services for the University of Michigan Yost Ice Arena Ice Plant Renovation. The project began and was completed over a swift six-month time frame, just in time for the first puck to drop in October for the beginning of the 2015/16 college hockey season.
Utilizing BIM technology, the design and construction team was able to quickly and efficiently complete the renovation during the off-season. A unique MEP engineering facet of the project includes the all new chiller system which includes 10 miles of piping. The $5.8 million project also included new boards and glass, additionally enhancing the overall fan and player experience.
