PBA Provides Cost-Effective Lighting Design Solutions

Looking for lighting solutions for your healthcare facility? Then be sure to check out the May issue of Healthcare Design magazine, which features cost-effective, LED lighting design solutions for modern health care environments.

Featured in the article is PBA lighting designer, Darko Banfic, who provides his expertise on LED lighting solutions. Banfic suggests some of the benefits of layering LED lighting as well as incorporating colored lighting schemes to create a more welcoming and serene environment for patients, staff and visitors in a health care environment.

Banfic also highlights the architectural lighting design features of a two-story lobby at the recently completed St. Joseph Mercy Oakland’s new patient tower. For the multifaceted voluminous space, which includes modern wall art, warm wood finishes and a centrally-located fireplace, Darko designed a lighting scheme that creates a multi-layering effect of spacing out brighter LED’s, utilizing perimeter cove lighting with asymmetric distribution as a hidden layer of light and incorporating adjustable / aiming products for the fireplace wall lighting.
