As we embark on this new era of virtual learning and in many instances across the State of Michigan, working remotely, PBA has continued to pursue top talent in the MEP engineering field from local and regional universities.

This is the second week of virtual career fair participation for Peter Basso Associates following last Thursday's (9/24) successful virtual career fair at Oakland University's School of Engineering and Computer Science.

PBA Provides Peer Review, MEP Engineering and Commissioning Services for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Alternate Care Site (ACS)

Peter Basso Associates, a leading mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) design engineering consulting service, was hired by HKS, Inc. to provide peer review services as well as mechanical and electrical engineering design assistance for the temporary field hospital located in Novi, Michigan. The project led by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), temporarily converted the existing Novi Suburban Showplace Collection into an Alternate Care Site (ACS). In addition, Gilbane Construction hired PBA to provide commissioning services, which included the commissioning of mechanical HVAC, plumbing equipment and electrical distribution.

Top MEP Engineering Firm, PBA Celebrates 'National Reading Month' with PBA Staff's Most-Loved Books

This week marks the beginning of National Reading Month, a month-long celebration dedicated to 'motivating Americans of all ages to read every day.' (www.charities.org) The Peter Basso Associates technical library is extensive and changing everyday much like the building, design and construction industry, however, we wanted to know what PBA staff were reading at home and outside of the workplace.

PBA Provides Commissioning Services for First Solar PGT-2 Manufacturing Plant in Ohio

Full Production Expected Late 2019 for 1-Million SF Facility

First Solar is a 1-million-square-foot manufacturing plant being built for the production of its new Series 6 thin-film solar panels for use by large utility solar farms, on public buildings, and at off-grid industrial sites. This is the second First Solar manufacturing plant and it is located in Lake Township Ohio. Breaking ground in June 2018, the plant is expected to reach full production by late 2019.

Medical Sciences Research Building III (MSRB III) is a 10-story, 207,000 g.s.f. biomedical research facility on the campus of the University of Michigan. The third in a series of research facilities, MSRB III accommodates approximately 400 people and features laboratories, animal housing, office/conference space and support facilities.
